The more dogs you have the more complaints you have.

Marc is no angel he has a few acres, no running water, the dogs are in a garage (no heat, no air). He is living in a travel trailer while his home is being built. He is using Dane Train to run pups from California Breeders to him in Oregon. And then he doesn't have them altered? Marc recently had an accidental breeding. He smothered the lives of 4 white puppies as they were born, while I was personally on the phone with him. The female was 18 months old and had been in his rescue on his website since she was a very young puppy! When the pups were 1 week old we sent an experienced Dane breeder to Oregon a mere 500 miles each way.

In the end Cassie bit our volunteer in the face and on the arm in front of Marc. Animal Control was called to assist, using 2 poles to remove her. Cassie had to be euthanized the next day as no one was able to even get near her.

Cassie was suffering from Kennel Cough when she arrived. Due to the stress one of the pups has died from phenomia.

We ask on behalf of Cassie, her 2 puppies we are nursing every 2 hours, Tiergan the dog we tried so hard to save. MAKE THIS NONSENSE STOP! Do not continue to support the websites that bash Gentle Giants. After all isn't the pot calling the kettle black.

This is not helping Danes. It is simply ruing the reputation of not only our breed but the word rescue in general.

And you are all believing in something that doesn't exist. Marc is a redneck hillbilly, with a few teeth, who doesn't bathe and he breeds his rescue dogs. Who knew?

Funny thing about Barbara Laird? If you rearrange a few things and drop the "D" Barbara Laird is just LIAR, and that is exactly what you have just done. lied.

I have no doubt that all of you believe Marc, let's be honest I was one of his biggest fans. So I understand and hear your pain. NOW HEAR MINE!

I asked Barbara to contact Marc and remove his watchdog site proclaiming Marc to be a group you can report bad rescues to. (Idaho being a one party consenting state, the conversation was recorded) In addition I recorded all my conversations with Marc regarding this situation, well all but the first 2.

We would like to give Marc & Barbara Laird the opportunity to realize the magnitude of what they are doing.

You will never live this down at least, in my eyes.

Now more we, no more hiding behind lawyers, this is truly I, Jeannie Laub will not tolerate your fowl actions. This dog was allowed to be in rescue for over 1 1/2 years with out being spayed, she was allowed to breed and allowed to whelp puppies that Marc then killed with his own two hands.

This time at least I knew what I was dealing with and recorded it.

P.S.  It should go without saying that Dane Train obviously does not transport puppies to Marc for breeding!

I have not been with this group for very long and at first was appauled by the things that I was reading: like the smothering of puppies and a rescuer breeding puppies. After reading everything else I am greatly confused. My dane is 16 years old and most likly not going to live much longer. I dont know either of the people involved but I do see a problem with a female dane being in the rescue for 1.5 years and never being spayed - that seems a little wrong to me unless the point was that maybe he didnt want to spend the money until she was adopted but I still dont see a really good reason. I understand that accidents happen but sometimes they are meant and then called a mistake so that there is less scrutiny.  It gives me a broken heart and a lot of mistrust in all the parties involved.
